Project Overview
ALISHAR CONTRACTING executed the detailed process engineering and construction of the Khamis Mushayt Septage Treatment Plant, developed to handle domestic septage delivered by tankers. This facility was designed to support municipal wastewater management with specialized treatment processes, ensuring effective removal, treatment, and safe discharge of effluent into the main sewage system.
Deliverables
- Septage Dumping Station: Initial stage where wastewater is discharged into the system through multiple inlets for controlled flow.
- Sludge Compactor: Removes solids and non-degradable materials through segregation, screening, grit dewatering, and disposal, with poly-electrolyte dosing to aid treatment.
- Balancing Tank: Maintains a regulated flow of wastewater before it enters the reactors for treatment.
- Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBRs): Three advanced tanks equipped with floating aerators and mixers to perform aeration and biological treatment, ensuring efficient breakdown of organic content.
Sludge Dryer (First of its kind in the Kingdom): Installed as part of the plant’s system to process and reduce sludge volumes for safer disposal.
