ALISHAR CONTRACTING executed the expansion of the Abha Sewage Treatment Plant, delivering a facility that enhances wastewater treatment capacity to meet the needs of the growing city. The expansion incorporated advanced treatment technologies and supporting structures to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

Deliverables

• Construction of aeration tanks and clarifiers to strengthen biological treatment processes.
• Installation of a belt filter press for the dewatering of organic and inorganic sludge, designed for low wear and reduced operating costs.
• Provision and commissioning of a sludge belt dryer, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, for drying sludge materials and reducing odour and pollutant emissions.
• Development of sludge handling facilities, including sludge cake loading and management areas.
• Completion of filtration units, final settlement tanks, and sludge thickeners to improve treatment efficiency.
• Integration of inlet works and supporting utility structures to ensure smooth plant operation.
